“ Ok , you ( and a few others ) , barrack me . So I ’ve spent the last fewmonths working on this . I took one end of my backyard and transformedit .

I started by cutting the grass as low as potential . Then added alayer of cardboard topped with devoid mulch from the county heavy watercollection . Then free logs to make several beds surrounded by freestepping stones .
Beds are filled with mushroom-shaped cloud compost , peat moss , andsome other various compost / manure .
I have less than $ 100 adorn inthis so far .

I ’ve already stuck in seed for Buttercup Squash , pepper , and Mexican Sunflowers . Have to cut a few more stones but it ’s prettymuch set .
Still more to come . attach a few before and after picturesfor your consider joy . -S ”

This is going to be an utterly endearing garden . I ca n’t think of a better use for the end of backyard .
If you ’re clever , it really take away very little work to transform a backyard lawn into a backyard garden .

If you ’ve not had horticulture success before , I commend starting with a few dead - simple crop : mulberry tree , yard - prospicient noggin , chaya , loquat tree , honeyed potatoes , Seminole pumpkin ( verify you have LOTS of distance ) , bush beans , kale and mustard greens . Throw in a few red-hot peppers for variety and peradventure a Japanese persimmon and you ’re go to have success . Most of those will do well even if you ’re a total amateur .
Just be sure to feed the soil first … and then the ground will feed you .
Good oeuvre , fellow nurseryman . I love it .
