One of our favorite New Year ’s Eve Appetizers are Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts .
Whole water chestnut that are first marinated in soy sauce . Then they are coat in brown sugar and wrapped in Francis Bacon . Once they are broil , they become the unadulterated hand held appetiser for any occasion .
Of naturally , any time that bacon is involved , the starter disappear from the serving tray within minute .

And in our house , no New Year ’s Eve would be double-dyed without these Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts .
Although they are simple to make , they are always a vast hit as everyone wait for the ball to swing . Here ’s to a wonderful and prosperous New Year !
Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts Recipe
Whole Water ChestnutsSoy SauceBrown SugarBacon
marinade the weewee chestnuts in soy sauce for 1 hour . While the chestnut are soak , come out the toothpicks in water supply and let them soak as well .
This will help prevent the toothpick from burning during the baking process .

Let the whole water chestnuts soak in soy sauce for at least an hour to absorb the flavor.
When you are ready to make your bacon wrapped water chestnut , place the dark-brown sugar in a small pipe bowl .
Then drain the water chestnut and individually rove them in the chocolate-brown simoleons .
Then starting at one end , locate the chestnut tree on the bacon and enfold each one .

Next , using the water inebriate toothpick , fix the end of the bacon and pierce it through the water chestnut .

Drain the chestnuts and roll each one in the brown sugar .
Wrap each chestnut tree with a one-half piece of bacon .

Place the bacon wrapped water chestnuts on a baking rack that is inside a rimmed baking sheet.
