There was n’t a gardener around to grillwork when I take this exposure of a cutleaf Nipponese maple atBoscobel Restorationin Garrison , New York , a few years ago . I assume the trunk did n’t develop this elbow room on its own . Either elbow room , who cares about the leaves ? This trunk is great all on its own !
