Welcome to Lila Johnson ’s garden !

My husband and I endure in Mill Creek , Washington , about 20 miles northward of Seattle . Our garden is always a workplace in progress , but we are bless ( I think ) with several ecosystem : a butterfly garden that faces to the south and pawn up the summertime cheerfulness ; a louche , almost - rainforest garden with moss , fern , hostas , and baby ’s tears ground cover ; and then the honest-to-goodness mix of some sunlight , some shade .

Anna ’s hummingbird abound in our garden class round with the helper of our tributary . Hardy fuchsia bloom through October ( almost December this year ) to append color and a food reservoir for these dear birds .

As a native Northwesterner , I am fond to the shady garden with hostas , ferns , and moss ! I also be intimate taking picture of our garden but am not trained in any way other than my love of flowers and nature , which I acquired from my mammy over 70 years ago . We are unpaid nurseryman and amateur photographers , but is n’t nature grand ?

Any gardener in the Northwest well hump moss ! Here moss and snow decorate a tree diagram branch .

The shady part of the garden is fill with genus Funka and other shade - loving plants .

A flowery bench call for you to sit around back and enjoy the beauty of the garden . With the clematis twining through the back of the work bench , I get the sense that Lila , like most of us gardeners , does n’t actually sit here too often . We ’re always too in use horticulture !
