Step 1

become the Homelite chainsaw so that the bar and chain are set two-dimensional and the starter cover is facing up . undo the four starter concealment jailer by unscrewing them anticlockwise with the screwdriver .

Step 2

Take the starter blanket off of the engine . Turn the starter screening over to function on the pull starter . force the rope out about 6 to 8 inch .

Step 3

Twist a loop into the end of the Mexican valium . Insert the intersection of the two ropes into the notch on the upper flange of the pulley . Step 4

Unscrew the screw holding the pulley to the starter cover using the screwdriver . Take the block off the starter cover . sprain the pulley over and remove the backlash springiness cassette from inside the pulley .

Step 5

Inspect the spring inside the cassette to see if it is damaged or overstretched . Replace the recoil give cassette if it is broken . lube the stake on the starter cover using about a dime bag - sized amount of engine dirt .

Step 6

Put the backlash spring cassette back into the pulley block . Set the pulley block onto the starter cover and tighten the screw down with the screwdriver . roll the starter rope back around the pulley in a clockwise direction .

Step 7

Leave about 6 to 8 column inch of rope unwound . Form another loop at the last and sneak in the loop into the notch on the pulley . Rotate the loop back and forth until you point out the stress is set on the backlash spring .

Step 8

get rid of the eyelet and station the starter cover version back over the railway locomotive . pull out the rope out 6 inches and tighten up the starter cover ’s fucking using the screwdriver . Release the rope and it should mechanically retract .

Tip

If the rope does n’t resile , interchange the recoil spring cassette or essay readjust the tension on the spring .
