In a Vase on Monday. Easter Eggs.
It ’s too dusty to linger in the garden today so I picked a few treasures to lend inside for my French porcelain egg . And because I have it away fragrance many of them smell dainty . Their are two kinds of skimmias here , ‘ Rubella ’ and ‘ Kew Green ’ . There is a hyacinth and several small narcissi , all fragrant .And I pick one of the wildCyclamen persicumfrom a pot in the nursery . So the dining room sense adorable .
I also pick one flower of myMagnolia ‘ Leonard Messel ’ which is front wonderful right now . good knows what it will look like after a few night of icing .
The pussy willow in the above pic is a delightful one calledSalix purpurea‘Nancy Saunders . ’ It create a very elegant trivial bush and look effective all class ; the miniature catkins which appear in spring are so nice . The vino colorize anemone isAnemone coronaria ‘ Bordeaux ’ and it is my current deary , it looks nice with the deep pink genus Corydalus .

The wine- color Akebia quinatais also a good mates for the dark anemone . It is theorise to sense of umber but I ca n’t discover it . The snake ’s foreland checkered lily , Fritlliaria melagrispicks up the colour .
I used three or four dissimilar Grape Hyacinths , Muscariincluding the pale ‘ Peppermint ’ and the chunky ‘ Blue Spike ’ . The blue is picked up with a few flowers ofChinodoxa luciliae . The Iris depend likeIris unguicularisbut it is in factIris lazicafrom the Black Sea . This flag blooms prolifically and it has shiny dark-green leaves .
The bush I used are commonForsythia intermediawhich was all over my garden but there is now just one for picking . Osmanthus burkwoodiiis evergreen plant with small white highly fragrant flower . For foliage I used the marbled leaves ofPittosporum tenuifolium ‘ Elizabeth ’ .

So this is my Easter nut arrangement . I hope you are delight the Easter abundance in your garden and if it is a bit too parky to linger outside then why not cull a posy of something adorable and link in withCathy ’s meme In a Vase on Monday at Rambling in the Gardenso we can all delight it too .
Oh , and if you think the form of address Easter Eggs imply we have loads of lovely cocoa eggs , there is no such degeneration in this house . The other eggs are made of Tiger Eye and Amethyst . But I rather bid they were chocolate .

I hope you had a wonderful Easter despite the circumstances . I adore that porcelain vase . Its contents fit the function too . My preferent elements are the grim Anemone and the pussy willow tree . I ’ll be looking for corms of the former next yr . Sadly , growing a snatch willow in a landscape as dry as mine is n’t at all realistic .
