In a Vase on Monday. Pink and Orange.
June is a very pink calendar month in the garden , I have tidy sum of pinkish pink wine and how middling they look in a vase . Even the one that are hang their heads looking overblown and blowsy sum up June for me .
I used the rise ‘ New Dawn ’ which I have everywhere as it is very easy from cutting . The two unruly tears pears , Pyrus salicifolia‘Pendula ’ in my front garden have roses meander through them and I have used bite of two of these ; ‘ Veilchenblau ’ and the pale pink ‘ Félicité Perpétue ’ . Perpetua and her slave , Felicity were third century martyr who suffered the gory death so much delight by other Christian sufferer .

For extra fragrance I have pour down in a few pinks and there is a decided smell of clove coming from them .
My house is also fragrant at the moment as I am enjoying vase of honeyed peas in every room . As an antidote to all this pinkish I have an orangish vase this week . I never used to like orange flowers but now I ca n’t think why , I love them . I am outrage by Orange Presidents and Orangemen ; the forbidding DUP who our unappealing Prime Minister need to cosy up to in society to hang on to power . But that is no reason to let beautiful orange flower be tainted with bigotry and ego - serving malevolence .
I have had thisAlstroemeriaso farseeing that I ca n’t think back its name . I wish it very much asunder from its floppy use .

On the bottom left you’re able to see the twofold orange tree poppy , Papaver rupifragumwhich seed all round the garden .
I always guess the Latin name for Californian Poppy;Eschsholzia californicahas too many consonant but it is very pretty and easy . A few packets of semen sprinkled around and you have it forever .
I used just one come up , my endearing ‘ blessing ’ which is a David Austin rose and one I would never be without . On the rightfield of the above photograph you could seeBupleurum longifolium‘Bronze Beauty ’ . It is an strange flora with spray of copper - coloured bloom . I save seed every twelvemonth so that I can pop this everywhere .

Umbellifers are very fashionable and we all love frothy whiteAmmiandOrlaya . But I am very fond of yellow flower single too . I have used two different ones here , Lovage , Levisticum officinaleand Parsnip , Pastinaca sativaflowers . I always pull up stakes a few parsnips to go to germ because I be intimate the flowers .
The alstroemerias have a over-embellished tinge so I used a few spray of purpleGeraniumpsilostemon . As an after thought I popped a bit of Bronze Fennel in to pick up the dark stripes on the alstroemeria flowers . I also used some flowers from a bronzeHeuchera .
In a Vase on Monday is of course , host by the inimitable Cathy atRamblinginthegardenblog .

Wow ! Three vase this week and all gorgeous . Like you , I now love orange in the garden and specially like it in your vase .
There ’s no end to the bounteousness of your June garden ! My own paltry rose ingathering looks distressing by comparison to the effervescent display you have on hand . It ’s funny but I also found myself looking at the orange blossom in my garden with something of a yellow eye earlier this year given the color ’s connection with the orange person occupying our White House but then I decided it was unfair to view flowers and patsy through the same electron lens .
I know the orange and purplish , the vase is so warm and unusual . The orangish poppies seem so delicate and pretty , I ’d be happy to have that seeding around . Roses and pink , who could ask for anything more ?
