Ever since I was a child I wanted to see the rainforest … or live in the rainforest .
Now I do and it ’s wonderful .
Unfortunately , our area is a regrowth wood with less mintage diversity than should be here .

Our neighborhood used to be almost nothing but orbit of sugarcane sometime last C … but the rain forest is tame much of the now uncultivated grime .
There are much wilder areas within a daytime ’s driving but we have n’t been able to get a vehicle yet , so those Thornton Wilder wood must hold off to be explored .
Even in our newer rainforest here , there is a lot to see . Every clip I go on a hike I find something new or exciting .

For example , on my last cost increase I encountered multiple interesting tool and plants deserving sharing .
Like :
A Ganoderma Mushroom!
The first of my finds was a gnarly ganoderma mushroom of some sort .
These are the famed “ reishi ” mushroom of Eastern medicine .
Ihave discover these before back in Florida , though not the same species .

The Floridian unity are definitely prettier – take a expression :
All are suppose to be medicinal . I will make tea soon .
If my next post reads likeAlice in Wonderland , I obviously pick the wrong mushroom .

Cecropia Trees
One tree that is a common regrowth forest species in the tropics is the “ trumpet tree ” , which is any of multiple coinage of Cecropia tree :
I love these tree diagram . Look at these supporting ascendant near the bottom :
As my chum - in - natural law remarked onmy Instagram , “ it look like a understructure ! ”

Check out what Cecropia bark look like come together up :
Just a terrific , beautiful and useful tree diagram . They farm them at ECHO for multiple reasons :
If I still lived in South Florida , I would wholly plant one . Or ten .

When I finally get to launch my next nutrient forest I will contrive them in .
Beautiful Insects
As I was getting quick for my cost increase down the mound , one of the children pointed out this beautiful extremity of the click mallet family hanging out on one of our jak :
I used to have a 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme paint that precise colour , in glitter - fleck , with chrome rims .
I got pull over all the time . I miss that car , though .

Another beautiful animate being is this petty butterfly :
They are magic and flutter about us as we thin out through the tall dope and pasturage on our way to the creek .
I take on that I had visions of gargantuan Snake River , terrific insect and marauding monkeys before moving … but thus far we seem to be in a hushed corner of the rain forest . That ’s plausibly good , as I do n’t fancy losing any shaver to fearsome and poisonous tool … and I would rather keep the fruit for ourselves , not sneaky simians .

If you ’d care to see an extended tour , along with my silly rapping , I posted an entertaining rain forest hitch television on Friday of last workweek :
glad Monday – I ’ll be back tomorrow with more pretty motion-picture show . May you have a beatified and fertile Modern week .
